Spec of .003-.005" can be tough to accurately measure. If in doubt, go ahead and tighten another flat. You may actually still be loose. Done this too many times and I'd suggest checking again after a bit of a drive. Good to have extra cotter pins! FWIW, I try to keep mine set at the lower limit.
