Make sure that you have vacuum on the booster line before you conclude
that the booster is bad.
If you have a vacuum source, try pulling a vacuum on the booster and see
if it holds. If it does hold, see if the vacuum present helps your "pedal
feel", at least initially.
If the booster holds vacuum, then make sure the vacuum hose isn't blocked
for some odd reason (like it's internally rotted or something).
