I'm about to finish a brake rebuild, but realized I neglected to order the "gunk" that's applied between the squeal shims and the back of the brake pads. Is there anything magic about the stuff the big three sells, or will a locally purchased substitute be okay? I realize this is probably a silly question, but after all I've been through with this car I've gotten a little paraniod about screwing up on the niggling details! Jim |
