Joe-If your car earlier than 1973, I don't think that the carbs will have the 
ports to connect the anti-runon valve. My car didn't have a dieseling problem 
until I installed the 150 hp PI cam. It required more throttle opening to 
idle, which caused the run on issue. The only solution, I have found is to 
lower 
the idle speed as much as possible. Also, check for any source of vacuum leaks.
