Hello again. Thought I would let everyone who responded to my initial message
know that my oil lose problem is solved!!! It turned out to be a blown valve
cover gasket. It blew right in the back where the battery sits. At the time I
was so sure something major had occurred, I never considered the valve gasket.
Just goes to show you that it is not always the worst that happens. In any
event, the gasket has been replaced and the gobs of oil under my car has been
cleaned off as best as possible. What's left will make a good undercoating. I
took a nice long country drive today and all is well. Many thanks to all of you
who responded to my plight, both on and off the list. It sure is nice to call
on those who are knowledgable when the need arises. Many thanks..!
