I wouldn't support the flange with anything less than a 1" thick plate. As brutal and crude as it sounds, sometimes impact is more effective than pressure. I have used a sledge hammer to separate hubs than didn't yield to a press. The axle threads were well protected against mushrooming and bending. Berry Price |
