Does anyone know just how much replacing the body and it's assorted pieces
onto a frame with the engine and transmission in place will compress the
standard road springs?
I ask because the '75 frame (with engine & tranny) measures out 2" higher than
a fully laden '74. There was no perceptible difference in the cars prior to
removing the body and rebuilding the suspension on the '75.
I just do not see enough dead weight in the body and accessories to compress
the springs that much. Am I missing something very obvious?
Thanks,
Don
