Yes, Dick, the article is a real keeper.... and a laugher! I've reread
it a number of times
already. It seems that Peter wrote this story "out of the blue." I can't
see what triggered
him to write it after these many years. My theory is that once you've
got LBC's in your
blood, you never get them out: Even if you test drive Ferrari's for a
living!
I live on the coast of Maine. We've already (before today) received 90
inches of
snow this season and, in today's storm, we got another 20 inches! Good
grief! They
don't know where to put the snow in Boston, the snowthrowers can't throw
it any higher!
I can't even see my mailbox out on the street, the snowbanks along the
roadside are
seven feet high after the snowplow comes by. Talk about a laugher! So
now we've had
over 110" so far this season in Portland.
This is where all the folks down south/west write back with their
"couldn't resist" replies,
