Hi Todd,
I'm using 15x7 Panasport light racing wheels (not DOT approved) with
215/65's . The front fender lip grabs the outer edge of the tire under
moderate turns & 3/4 suspension compression. I'm not sure of the offset
of theses rims as I have never measured it. This definitely does not
please me. I have a few slices in the thick part of the edge tread about
a 1/4" deep. It does not appear to affect the integrity of the tire but
it's not good none the less.
You may be able to get a little more head room on the tire if you go to
60 series in the front. This will be my next choice when I need new
shoes. There's about a 7/8" difference in diameter between the two
profiles, 25.2 versus 26". The rears are fine, no problem even with a
tube shock conversion.
