Hi,

I'd def. check the axle bolts to make sure they are tight. If they have
loosened up, make sure that you use good (new is better) nuts and don't
forget the blue loctite (and make sure the bolts are clean when you
install them with the loctite.

Also - there's a chance that your sliding splines are to at/near the
service limit. Just make sure that the sliding splines are clean an well
lubricated with a moly-based grease and live with it.

Regarding axle phasing, the rear axles are pretty hard to screw up. The
sliding splines are keyed, and the yokes are cast in place. There is only
one dynamic adjustment possible for the axle shafts - you can install them
180 degrees out. So one thing to try is rotate one axle at a time to see
if the vibration goes away.

I also like the theory about the rear engine mounts aka the tranny mounts.
If those get soft, you'll get all sorts of wierd seat of the pants stuff.

regards,
rml
