I had the same problem and found an easy solution. You can go to
Home-Depot or Lowes and there is a tool to pull apart vinyl siding. The
handle is red rubber and the end has a U shape. It costs about $5.00.

I took the panels off my doors this evening and had to remove some
plastic

(It was getting caught in the window mechanism) that I believe helped
keep

moisture from the panel.  How necessary is this plastic?  Should I do

anything else while I have the doors apart?  

 

 

 

Also, what's the best way to reinstall the clips that hold the window
waist

seal?
