The answer actually depends on what year TR6 tranny you have. For the
early trannies, the steel bits on the magnet will be layshaft, mainshaft
and all bearings, maybe some gear teeth (but gear teeth usually show up as
chunks and not the "fur" stuff). The later TR6 tranny has steel bushings
for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so these add to the "fur" on the magnet.
Most commonly, if there's a lot of fur, you're probably talking layshaft
or layshaft bearings...
