With all due respect, the Union Jack decal appeared on/about CC75000 which
would be the '72 model year.
But the '69 had the outline TR6 decal on the rear wings.

Agreed. I was def. on the 70 model year, we had one of those from (almost)
new and it had the BL badge for sure. Almost new means that my Dad bought
the car with 1200 miles on it in April or May 1971.
