FWIW, I will follow Bob's advice too. I have recently purchased a 71 TR6
and it has a junky tube shock conversion -- bolts to the wheel well. Per
Bob's advice, I will put the levers back on.
I have however heard mixed reviews about Apple -- no first hand
experience with them.
