Jerry,
I'm very happy with my Sonnedecke top from AA Best with the exception of
the reflective stripe. They just can't seem to get that right so I
recommend just going with the top sans stripe. The material is the same
as found on BMW and Mercedes and other high-line European cars and is
vastly superior to any vinyl. Make sure you tell them you want:
1.) TR6 1/4 windows sewn in
2.) snaps NOT installed
3.) snap installation tool (if you don't already have one)
4.) cloth tabs for the rear window (so you can attach a snap to roll and
fix the window when driving with window unzipped/top up)
The cloth tops are a bit more difficult than the vinyl tops to install
because they don't stretch as much, but they look better, don't shrink
over the side windows and are much quieter at speed.
Good installation instructions are on the Buckeye Triumph site.

Hi All
I'm a new TR6 owner and have a quick question. The car I just bought
needs a new top desparitely and I can't decide who to go with. I have
decided to go with a canvas type material (Sunfast/Stayfast) but have
not had any experience with either Robbins or AAbest. Robbins seems to
very good quality (Read expensive!) at $599.00 for the top while Aabest
looks good according to their website and they are in the $309-$359
range. Is there really that much difference in the tops? Fit? Finish?
The car will be mostly garaged and usually only driven on dry days. Any
feed back from anybody who has used either top would be welcome. I hate
to spend the extra money, if I don't need to. Thanks, Jerry '74 TR6 "78
