I can't speak to a Gunst knock-off t/o bearing, but I can speak to a real
Gunst bearing with a Sachs clutch. I installed this combination a little
over a year ago. Since that time I've put several thousand miles on my car,
including a 1,700 mile round trip to TRF's Summer Party. During this time
I've not experienced any of the issues you have mentioned, nor have I heard
of anyone who've installed this combination and had these issues. I count
myself as a very satisfied customer, especially after having to pull the
transmission two times previous to the fix.
My two cents and experience,
R. Ashford Little II

Dick, I spoke with BPNW and they confirmed this. They said it had to
do with finger configuration. I even put a pipe on the lever. I could
get it to disengage, but it still dragged. John
