Exactly!! As I said, I have been a TRF customer for the past 18 years -
that should say something about how I feel about TRF. However... like Dave
I am a bit stunned that Charles has apparently never gotten a handle on the
distribution of his sales literature. As a customer, its not up to me to
constantly surf the TRF website in search of "when" the sales are going to
start. As a business, it is in TRF's best interests to get me (the
customer) notification of a sale before the sale starts, not a day or two
before it ends. Long ago, I wrote a letter to Charles asking if I could get
my TRF sales catalogues sent first class and pay them for the priviledge -
He replied that it would be too complicated and they were working on a
solution (that was in 1987). More recently, I sent an email to TRF
suggesting that, instead of sending hardcopy catalogues to everyone, that
they give customers the option of just having TRF send an email notification
of sales with a link to the pdf. This seemed like a win-win to me - less
postage costs for TRF and almost immediate notification for the customer. I
never got a reply from TRF to my email suggestion. Like most of you, I buy
from several vendors, but I have favorites. I try to give TRF as much of my
business as possible. However, since I have other folks (wife and family)
that also lay claim to my disposable income, most of my Triumph-related
purchases are planned (and occasionally reviewed by SWMBO). Many times, I
am not able to give TRF as much business as I might otherwise have been able
to, simply due to the inability of TRF to give me prior notification of
their sales (which then does not allow me to plan my purchases).
