Scott---There doesn't seem to be any "points" lost or gained for doing a good engine bay restoration. Just know that moving old wiring around to paint underneath must be done carefully, so as to not invite other trouble. Taking the engine out is the best way to get to the nasty places. Waiting for when such a removal is necessary for other reasons makes the most sense for doing the engine bay freshening. Know what color you want it to be in advance of considering a change in body color. Dick |
