My 250 has a metal attached to the left windscreen post with the commission
number stamped to it. This number matches the number on the fender well.
I looked at another one last night from which the numbers have been removed.
The engine number indictates it was in the 4400 range as does the
transmission and differential. There is not any evidence of the metal tab
ever being on the windscreen post. The body number has also been removed.
Two questions actually. Anyone know about when Triumph started putting the
commission number on the metal tab on the windscreen. Secondly, is there
anywhere else on the car that might have the commission number?
