It matters where you are.  Mechanics here charge about $90 / hr, thus the
job would cost $820.  But then a "starter home" or "fixer upper" costs about
$525K  - a mechanic needs to make $90/hr just to survive.  Everything is
relative.

           Labor   --------------------------------------------
     $480 @ 8hrs
                     ( dropping the exhaust system, dropping diff.
                       cutting  grinding, fitting, welding, etc. etc.)


                     $580

Results:  priceless

Would anyone have rather done the job themselves?
