John---I don't know how a drive shaft would react, never having
experienced one that's out of balance within the unit itself.. I do know
that if either one of these u-joints start to give up, it will first
show up as a gearshfit vibration and progress to include a floor pan
vibration.

 Both Vance and Richard feel they have a handle on this, but appear to
be at odds. Perhaps they would both re-post on this, and clear it up?
(Or straighten me out)!
