Vance---As to whether you have the wrong air valve springs or not, consider that the "right" ones exert very little downward pressure. I guess if you're using more than a few oz. of hand pressure, changing springs wouldn't help much. Without any hand pressure, do the air valves seat on the bridge with the engine is not running?
