I've been diligently restoring my TR6, but took a break from body work
because of the Texas summer heat. ( Sand blasting's not fun at 100 degrees) The
chassis is done, so I started rebuilding the engine and will have it done
before
it's time to set the body back on the chassis. I'd like to break-in the engine
and run it occasionaly so that it doesn't have to sit and possibly start
rusting before the restoration is done. Is this a bad idea? I think I'm
within a
year of having the entire car back together. How long is too long to let a
rebuilt engine sit?
How do you set up the engine to run while on the chassis, but without the
body? I'm assuming that you do it without the wiring harness; but with some
custom wiring.
Thanks,
