Steven,
You can try putting the car up on jack stands (making use
it is very safe)and with the aid of an assistant pulling
the bonnet release cable, get under the car and with a
broom handle and push upward in the area of the latch.
With the cable being pulled the upward force of you pushing
with the wooden handle might release the latch, thus your
bonnet. Don't try this with any metal instrument, remember
your battery terminal is in the area you will be trying to
work in.
