Hot Wheels

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, it is server issues day.

Out for a drive last night, I stopped to air up the tires, and noticed
that the rear rims where too hot to touch.  I had visions of semi
trucks on the road having brake fires.
Would this indicate a bearing problem, hanging brakes, something else?
