Ashley---It might be wishful thinking to believe that the new rear main oil seal needs to break in. There's no reason I'm aware of that switching from a non to a detergent oil will make any difference in this regard. It's also possible for oil to be coming down from a source farther up on the engine. The cam bore plug is one, and the rocker cover (gasket) is more likely. A flashlight and a mirror should uncover the later. Dick |
