TR6 Flags on Quarter Panels

I will be installing the TR6 flags on the quarters of my car this week.  Couple 
of questions for the list:
1) When installing do you mix dishwashing detergent with the water to aid in 
properly aligning the sticker or just use water?
2) I believe that it installs 1/2 inch from the chrome rim of the tail light 
and centered between the top and bottom of the tail light.

Any tips on installing these is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
