Steel Wheel Cracks

Has anyone experienced stress cracks in thier steel wheels?
As mentioned in the Moss catalog, Moss warns TR6 owners of possible cracks
developing in the steel wheels and suggests welding a reinforcement plate to
prevent the stress cracks from happening.
I have never seen this in my wheels and was just curious if any listers have
had their wheels develop stress cracks in the bolt area of the wheel.
