No that's right Bob, but they come in a thick wall and a thin (obviously
just a larger outer diameter hole that needs to be prepared for the
thick one)

The stock studs are 5/16"-24. I would presume that the correct heli-coil
type replacement would be 5/16"-24.

Or am I missing something?
