O' Knowledgeable list,

I'm in the process of striping the paint off the doors and I have a small
rust hole at the bottom lower edge of the door. What I'm concerned about is,
when looking at the inside of the door right where the door skin mates to the
door frame. I'd like to seal the bottom inside edge of the door off to keep
any rust from forming in the future. I'd like to apply seam sealer to this
area, but would this create any problem areas for rust to form latter, as I
don't want to inadvertently form a water trap here which would cause it to
rust through.
First the rust would be cleaned up by using a wire brush, then an
application of POR-15 then seam sealer, and last off Waxoyl. Of course the
weep holes will be left open. Any better way to do this, is it necessary, or
any better ideas?

TIA, for all input.
