TR6 Front Hub Seal

To grease or not to grease, to oil or not to oil, that is the question.
Haynes says to soak the felt on the oil seal with oil and then remove the
excess.  Bentley's doesn't really say.  And my local Triumph parts guy said
you don't need to put nuthing on there.   I think I've greased them a bit in
the past.  What's the list say?  What do you do?
