Cliff,

I made one once from phosphor Bronze, it's really tough stuff. The
harder you push it, the more it resists, it's the ideal bearing bronze
for the application. I'm sure that standard 660 bearing bronze would
work as well.

 Subject: Thrust Washers

I was reading up on thrust washers (archives) when I found a site that
talks
about
bronze alloy washers and the fact they have better wear characteristics.
This person makes them to your specs with oil grooves. You need a bronze
alloy
washer only at the rear side due to it taking the most beating and a
standard
washer
at the front side. Sounds interesting? anyone have any thoughts or
opinions on
the subject?
