Thanks for the pix, very helpful. In regard to the last question, on either
fender there are two rubber hood buffers that serve to maintain bonnet
position, one fore, one aft On my car, on the passenger side, there are
three sets of holes. The spacing of the holes are exactly like the holes
for
the rubber buffers. Any ideas what these are for? Another buffer perhaps?

That would be my best guess, but I am clueless as to why since two AFAIK are
original and suffice.
