Gene---A closer inspection of the timng marks will show one of the "wide" ones to be 4 deg. ATDC, which is recommended when the vacuum retard is in operation. The other wide one is cut in to show the transition from After, to Before Top Dead Center, and is therefore Zero degrees. Cleaning off this pulley to expose the markings, then rubbing these indentions with white chalk will make them stand out better when using a timing light. Dick |
