Not always.  If one uses Neil Revington's coil-over system. this free up the
ear on the trailing arm from having to support the shock-absorber arm.  Neil
then offers an "over the frame" sway bar that does not interfere with the 
body
in any way; except that the body must be removed from the frame to first 
mount
the sway bar brackets.  Have a look at

to see what it looks like.  This is what I have done with my frame, but am 
using
splined hollow bars for the sway bar instead of Neil's swaybars.
