John, Your speedometer is probably not accurate due to the toyota transmission speedometer cable gear not being correct for your differential gear ratio and tire size. Call the toyota dealer and ask if they have the appropriate speedometer transmission gear for your differential ratio (carbs 3.70:1, PI 3.45:1) and tire size. When you get the right gear for the transmission, your rpm and mph in fourth gear will be the same as the old transmission. Greg Perry |
