Everyone,
I'm looking for a spare cylinder head to overhaul this winter to replace
my current one and would like to know how to identify by sight a correct
candidate for my years engine. The head on my '72 engine has a stamping
on the right front edge which looks like a serial number of some sort.
There are also some groupings of cast numbers on the manifold side
which are hard to read. The only 6 digit grouping looks to be 312388.
Is this a part number perhaps?
I'd appreciate any guidance.
