i had the same problem myself.
it turned out to be on the 'cam' arm (can not remember the proper
name) that connects and joins the accelerator shaft to the carbs.
basically there is a threaded shaft that has a washer and a spring.
the washer keeps the spring tension and seats against a fork. if this
binds at all on the fork i believe, it will stick.
this assembly resides behind the carbs. also has a ball joint arm. you
might want to lubricate this will something. i used silicon spray, but maybe
others have a better suggestion. i didn't want to use grease because it
would hold dirt and be worse in the long run.
