I've always had a questions about how much webers help. Do they do a better
job of metering fuel across the range of rpm and load, there for providing a
fatter power band? How does this compare to Richard Goodes three ZS set up?

Remember a Fed. Spec TR6 is roughly 100 HP in stock form. Make it breathe
better and get rid of the fan and you're in the 120 HP range easily. The
header is probably the most important part of that equation. Throw on
Webers and a header and tuned exhaust and you can get that number into the
130 HP range.
