Joe---Wipe the area clean at the back of the valve cover, below the valve cover gasket line. Then check to see if there's oil after a brief run. It's common for these gaskets not to seal well unless perfectly placed, and properly secured. Sometimes the (cork) gasket itself doesn't fit the recess in the cover, unless "coaxed". If this is not the case, follow plan "A" described earlier! Dick T. '73 |
