Similar has happened to me. I performed the following with good results:
_ Install an inexpensive battery 'cut-off' switch.
This should safeguard the battery against any mishaps
_ Clean the fuse box connectors, and replace the fuse.
Sometimes the fuse appears fine, but can have a hair-line break.
_ Make sure you are using 35amp fuses, the 30s can overheat and not blow.
