Thanks for the response Graham. From some other things that I have read I was
suspecting the temp compensators but with my limited knowledge I was not going
to fool with them unless I had a more informed opinion to back me up.
I have not seen anything that I could relate to altitude. The car started
this in Michigan when I picked it up (which freaked me because I had just
picked it up and I had not made the association between stalling and temp). I
noticed it with the temp on the way home in Cincinatti stuck on the interstate
in traffic. At home in NE Alabama I am probably between 1000 to 3000 feet,
(educated guess?).
I will work on the temp compensators as soon as I can get time and then it
will be time to address the dash light problem.
