I saved this message from a while ago, apparently there is place which does
the conversions if you want to pay the $ (or pounds in this case). Here it

assume they're still in business. I suppose this conversion would also work
for people who want to get a stock looking electronic tach for a 4/8/10/12
cyl engine conversion or who want to do away with the tach cable on a stock
motor.
