Hi  Eric,

Yes you can rebuild your own servo.   I did several this past winter and
describe the process on our club website.  A description of how the servo
works is in latter part of the first link below.  Details on how to overhaul
the servo is in the second link.

If you read the articles you'll find that you can have the servo rebuilt
professionally for less money than you can buy the parts to rebuild it
yourself, and some parts are available only to the professionals. I
