Hi Paul:

Do you have a spin-on filter adapter?

If you're still using the old cannister filter did you remember to reinstall 
the pressure valve and spring that comprise part of the assembly?  If not, 
this may have some affect on your oil pressure since the oil will not be 
forced through the filter, and just flow around it.

These are just a couple of thoughts since I've experienced this particular 
problem.  Good luck!
