All the TR6s I've owned, including a '70 had a red translucent pipe that
is pressed onto fittings at either end that screw into the slave
cylinder on one end and the metal pipe fitting that connects to the
master cylinder on the other.
These red pipes are available from TRF and others, and they are also
available in braided stainless steel.
I would be concerned enough about the clear pipe to purchase a new one,
but that's me.

Subject: clutch slave cylinder
Hi all,
Planing on replacing the clutch slave cylinder on my 250. My car has a
clear
plastic tubing connected to the steel pipe from the CMC. If that is the
original setup is it just a press fit over the fitting ? I see no hose
clamp.
TIA
