Seth,
While I know you want to retain the "originality" of your TR6, when it
comes to safety, don't compromise (who would run the LITA site should
something happen to ya?). I ran into the same dilemma a while back, when I
was afraid of two point lap belts that the DPO installed (they were from
an old Chrysler of all things).
Three point belts are the way to go, and the big three (TRF,Moss,VicBrit)
all sell pretty much the same thing. I brought a set of Securon 3-pt
ertnia belts from TRShop in the UK for about half the price - even with
the additional high shipping cost. They were an easy install, requiring
only a small modification (a hole in the lower-side wheel arch) since I
only had two point belts previous in my 1971 TR6.
I don't know about the using your old receivers, but you can certainly
take a look at my belts, and see if they fit yours (just don't tell my
wife)!
Email me off list.
