S-2 or S-3 cam?

When I purchased my car, the previous owner said that I have a 
S-3 cam.  After reading the Kas article in this month's 6pack, I see 
that there never was a S-3 cam.

How do I find out what I have (and that is besides asking the 
original owner again)?
