Robert-Yes, it would be preferable to do repair with the body off, but that wasn't feasible. I used a die grinder&cut off wheel, being very careful not cut the emergency brake cable that lives under the deck. I don't think I would weld the panel because it is nice to be able to revisit the area and inspect it. No problems with rust or water as it is protected with oil leaks. Hopefully, the new frames have been reinforced in this area. Berry Price |
