I've been working hard on a new project this winter, and the day was perfect
for the first drive of the year. All the parts I built fit perfectly. In a
few hours everything was in place, and the sound of the motor coming to life
was very rewarding. None of this compared to the first drive. Power to spare,
torque a plenty, without the strain of high lift cams giving you lumpy
idle, riding on stiff valve springs, that will help ignite a highly compressed
fuel mixture in that polished and ported cylinder head, or the multitude of
carburettors which, regardless of brand need an expert right out of The Last
Open Road garage to balance and tune. No my friends... I'm talking about a
supersharger. Although minor adjustments are in order, that ride was
exhilarating with powerslide coming out of a turn, screeching tires when
shifting and power when you stomp on that gas pedal. Life is good in a TR250
with cojones. The whine ain't bad either.
